- Biography
- Simone Montangero is a Full Professor at the University of Padua, where he leads the Quantum Computing and Simulation Center. He is also an Honorary Professor at Ulm University and co-leads the Quantum Computing program within Italy’s National Center for High-Performance Computing, Big Data, and Quantum Computing. He serves on the EU Quantum Flagship’s Quantum Coordination Board and on the Scientific Council of INRiM, Italy’s National Metrology Institute. He is a visiting fellow at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. His past honors include a Heisenberg Fellowship from the German Science Foundation and a Humboldt Fellowship. Professor Montangero has authored over 170 scientific publications in quantum science and technology. He has led major national and international research projects and has collaborated with leading global laboratories and research groups, including Harvard University, MIT, IQOQI, CERN, the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, and Institut d’Optique.
